SEO Services, What To Look For | Print |
Website Traffic
Search engine optimization has evolved into a competitive, growing industry. There are plenty of hoaxes and scams on the web. It seems that as the Internet grows more complex, so do the scams. Choosing an effective company can be quite a challenge. There are many factors to consider when hiring an SEO service. This article gives advice on how to select a credible website optimization service.

Assess the services and credibility of the SEO company. Customer service is always the key factor that one should look at. There are many ways of assessing an SEO service. One can try to inquire by placing a call or by sending an email to the company. Depending on the courtesy and time of response, you can initially assess its customer service. Does the company provide an "about us" page on their website? A reputable online business will provide an informative look at the personal side of their company and who they are. Look for other company details such as, the company address and location.

Avoid a guarantee of instant results or the #1 position. There are many factors to consider when optimizing a webpage. Search engines use different algorithms and their spiders can vary. Any SEO company that guarantees the #1 position in the search results should be avoided. A legitimate company will be straight forward and honest and will tell its clients that no single company can give a guarantee of the top positions in the search results. A desireable SEO service should also provide reports and details regarding the standing of a client's website. They will be able to track the developments of their clients website in terms of keywords, links and their rankings in the major search engines.

A customer testimonial can provide a valuable insight when assessing a company's credibility. A satisfied customer is always a good indication of the effectiveness of a company's operations and will always be the most valuable piece of information about its integrity. If possible try to locate and contact people who have received benefits from hiring an optimization service or at least try to validate the testimonials.

It's important to consider the cost of website optimization. Keep in mind a higher price does not necessarily mean the expensive services are more effective than the less expensive ones. The optimization rates companies charge may vary greatly. Search engine optimization is a trial and error process which requires research, hard work and dedication. Make sure the SEO service is primarily involved in search engine optimization and does not treat it as a sideline.

A Website That Bites or Bites The Dust? | Print |
Web Designs Ideas

You must have noticed by now that there are hundreds and thousands of web sites you visit only once and you just want to take off like a rocket! What makes you leave such web sites so soon? Is it the poor unappealing home page design? Is it the web site's poor navigation elements? Is it a lack of desired content? In fact it may be all of those factors.

Now, a web site that "bites," on the other hand, has an entirely different effect, look and feel. It's almost as distinct as day and night in comparison with its unappealing "sister" sites.Have you ever wondered why you're not making enough sales? It may be because you're missing some of the very important elements listed below that will boost your sales at least 250%. A truly web site that bites has these elements:

  1. Tends to be sticky by keeping its prospective customer longer and busy.
  2. Tends to have an overall well-structured home page and web pages.
  3. Will have a certain "one-goal" driven approach in its chosen introductory message and the way it leads its visitor.
  4. Its home page immediately catches the first-time visitor's attention with its well-coordinated design, graphics, and colors.
  5. Its home page does not overwhelm the visitor with countless banners and unorganized links.
  6. It loads in 10 seconds or less.
  7. Its contact information can be found right away without having to search all over the place.
  8. Its FAQ answers the most common questions regarding products and services.
  9. It tells you almost immediately what it can do for you; what products and services it can offer you.
  10. Its content is engaging as it informs you about very practical information on a certain niche subject.
  11. It offers very related set of links on a particular niche market.
  12. It offers a number of irresistible reasons to linger past that one critical minute.
  13. It does all it can to create a lasting relationship before its visitor leaves forever!
  14. It offers a number of good reasons why its visitor should sign up for its newsletter.
  15. It never takes the liberty of asking 100 questions in its sign up form.
  16. It does not have background music to annoy its visitor.
  17. Its text is very readable, regardless of its size.
  18. It does not use unnecessary animation to further annoy its visitor, unless it actually accomplishes something important.
  19. Presell your affiliate products and services before you send your visitors to the "mother" affiliate site. If you forget this vital component, you will continue to fail again and again.

If your web site or future web site has any of the above element, you're on the right track. The more of these elements you use on your site, the better will be the overall response from your visitors. Potential customers will tend to visit and return often, and you will make more sales.

Either create a website that bites and grabs its visitor by the neck, or, it will bite the dust.

Evaluate your website with a fresh set of eyes against the above list and see if you are missing any of them. If you are, decide how you can add the ones that are missing. After you have done that, check your stats for signs of improvement in your daily, weekly, and monthly sales.

Remember, you are the master of your own website; make it bite, not softly!
